Mua’ausa Jason (Jay) Palepoi Mauga is a High Chief from the Islands of Samoa, descending from the King Malietoa royal family and the great-grandson of Paramount Chief Palepoi Mauga from Pago Pago, American Samoa. Jason is a retired U.S. Army Officer with two combat tours and 21 years of service, earning the prestigious Bronze Star. His military experience includes a focus on Narco-Terrorism, Joint Operations, and coordinating statewide emergency services and civil authority responses.

Jason served as the Executive and Operations Officer for the CA Counterdrug Task Force from 2002 to 2010, playing a vital role in the removal and destruction of over $3.5 billion dollars worth of illicit narcotics across more than 1500 missions in all 58 counties of California. He served as the primary liaison to local, state, and federal agencies and was an active speaker for the California Narcotics Officers Association.

In addition to his military achievements, Jason is an experienced Equal Rights professional and former Equal Opportunity Officer for the City of Modesto. He represented District 5 in the California Association of Equal Rights Professionals (CAERP), specializing in EO compliance, investigations, and equitable recruitment of underutilized populations.

Jason holds a Master’s Degree in Human Resources with an emphasis on national security, a Master’s Degree in Lima Lama Self Defense (5th Degree Black Belt), a BA in Government and Asian Studies, and a K-12 Teaching Credential. As a Senior Strategic Consultant at AMEG Enterprises, Jason plays a pivotal role in business development, forging high-level government and enterprise relationships. He focuses on driving sales, identifying strategic partnerships, and expanding AMEG’s presence in defense and emergency operations.

Beyond his work at AMEG, Jason is a small business owner and community leader, coaching high school football, soccer, track, and volleyball in Brevard County, Florida.
